Principals  
Kurt C. Baur, AIA, ACHA is a Principal of the firm and serves as the Director of Healthcare Architecture. Kurt is responsible for business development as well as overseeing the planning, design and construction of a wide range of large scale healthcare facilities, including university medical centers, regional hospitals and medical office buildings. He received a bachelor of architecture from Kent State University. Kurt is also a Board Certified Healthcare Architect and a founding member of the American College of Healthcare Architects.
James A. Beaudin, AIA, LEED AP is President of the Florida office and also serves as the President of the Corporation. Jim has over 30 years of experience in K-12 education and college & university projects. Over his career, he has been involved in the design of more than ten million square feet of public and private education construction. Under his leadership, the firm has received numerous awards and recognitions. Jim is responsible for business development as well as managing the Florida office. Jim received his bachelor of architecture degree from Pratt Institute.
Daniel L. Casinelli, AIA, LEED AP is a Principal of the firm and leads the K-12 Education Practice Group for the New England region. Dan has many years of multi-disciplined architectural and engineering experience. He is responsible for all phases of project delivery and professional design services as well as business development for the K-12 Practice Group. Dan serves on the AIA Connecticut Board of Directors , the Bridgeport Regional Business Council Board of Directors, as well as the Advisory Board of the ACE mentorship program for the Shelton/Trumbull section. He earned a bachelor of architecture degree from New York Institute of Technology.
Bill  Clegg, FIIDA, LEED AP As Principal of Interiors, Bill Clegg brings his expertise in interior design and project management to each assignment, and leads the design process for many complex, high-profile interior design projects. He is known for pursuing open and collaborative relationships with his clients using a hands-on approach, and translates that information into unique and innovative spaces that fulfill and exceed the client’s needs.Bill’s extensive knowledge and leadership skills extend throughout all aspects of the firm, particularly in the fields of marketing and design. He has also served as the President of the New England IIDA Chapter of the International Interior Design Association, a professional organization for leading interior designers. His commitment to the interior design profession is demonstrated through his counseling and mentoring of the firm’s junior designers.Mr. Clegg’s enthusiasm for design is palpable. His leadership, passion, and commitment to providing the highest quality design and service are the strengths that Bill brings to each project.
Patrick Curley, AIA Mr. Curley’s twenty years of architectural experience in specialized College and University projects range from campus master plans to renovation, expansion and new construction projects for residence halls, student life centers, sports and recreation facilities, theaters and science buildings. Through these diverse project types, he has developed an exceptional ability to communicate with diverse user groups and stakeholders - including senior academic administrators, trustees, faculty, students and community groups - in order to achieve consensus and deliver successful projects to his clients. Mr. Curley has been involved in numerous complex college and university endeavors, and will lead the planning, programming and design phases, manage the design team, and coordinate, communicate and control all professional service activities that are necessary for each project’s successful completion.
Michael S. Marcinek is Managing Partner and Chief Financial Officer of the firm. Mike is responsible for setting the firm’s strategic direction, financial reporting and strategic financial planning. He received a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the University of Connecticut and his MBA from the University of New Haven. He currently serves on the Boards of the Valley United Way, CBIA, American Red Cross, Junior Achievement, Shelton Economic Development Corporation, Valley Chamber of Commerce, Parent Child Resource Center and the Dan Orlovsky Foundation.
Christopher  McMahan, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C Mr. McMahan brings over twenty-five years of architectural experience to the firm’s College & University Practice Group. He has provided planning and design services to higher education, nonprofit institutions, and real estate developers throughout New England and New York City. Mr. McMahan provides strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate multiple constituent groups, having led numerous projects through the entitlement process with a variety of governing state and local agencies. His overall focus on projects is to translate client goals from program, site, schedule and budget into meaningful design solutions. Kip has volunteered on the boards of several non-profit arts organizations, serving five years as chairman of the RI State Council on the Arts. Currently, he is a board member of the New England Foundation for the Arts, and is board Vice President of the Veterans Memorial Auditorium Foundation.
John C. Oliveto, PE is a Principal of the firm, responsible for the management, design and production of all MEP engineering services. His guidance of the engineering staff ensures well-coordinated documents for all of the firm’s practice groups. John is also responsible for business development activities within the firm's New England region. John received his bachelor of science in civil engineering from Manhattan College. He currently serves on the committees for the Bridgeport Regional Business Council, Bridgeport’s Cardinal Sheehan Center, and the CT Building Congress, and is a member of ECHN's BACH organization.
Herman Szeker, SE, PE is Principal of Structural Engineering and is responsible for structural analysis, systems selection and design, cost evaluation, specification preparation, and supervision of contract documents for both new and renovated projects. He has over thirty years of experience in structural design for all types of commercial, institutional and industrial structures, utilizing steel, reinforced and post-tensioned concrete, masonry and wood systems. Herman received his bachelor and master of science degrees in civil engineering from Cleveland State University.
Richard K. Voelker, AIA Richard K. Voelker, AIA is Principal of Project Management for the firm responsible for the overall leadership, direction, goal setting and mentoring of the firm’s Project Managers and ensures that the firm’s financial and management policies are maintained consistently throughout all offices, for all projects, to meet the our Clients’ needs. Rick has over 35 years experience as a registered Architect with extensive experience in project programming, architectural design, site planning and interior design, preparation of presentation drawings as well as working drawings and specifications and contract administration for projects of commercial, corporate, industrial, educational and residential use. Mr. Voelker received his Bachelor of Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, is NCARB Certified and professionally licensed throughout the northeastern states and is a member of the CT Green Building Council.
